Kushki's Online Payments API covers the full payment lifecycle for Ecuador 🇪🇨: collect money from your customers via card or local payment methods, manage recurring charges, create hosted payment pages, and access transaction records for reconciliation and reporting.

Collect payments (Pay-in)

Card

Accept credit and debit card payments — single charges, deferred installments (Diferido), and 3DS authentication.

One-Click & Scheduled Payments

Save a card once and charge it on demand or on a recurring schedule — without asking the customer for card details again.

Cash In

Accept cash payments at collection networks — generate a payment reference that the customer pays at a physical point of sale.

Transfer In

Accept bank transfers — generate a transfer reference and receive funds when the customer completes the bank transfer.

Common request pattern

Most card pay-in operations follow a token → charge flow:

1. POST /card/v1/tokens          → one-time token (use immediately)
2. POST /card/v1/charges         → charge using the token

Your server never stores raw card data — Kushki handles all sensitive information through the token.

Deferred payments (Diferido)

Ecuador supports multiple deferred payment types. Always call Request Deferred Options first to confirm which creditType and months values are valid for the customer's card BIN.

WARNING

Valid creditType and months values depend on the card BIN. Always call Request Deferred Options before initiating a deferred charge.

Authentication

All endpoints use your merchant keys in the request headers. Use Private Key for all server-to-server calls; never expose it in frontend code.
